Geskeva explores the meaning of a name in this spoken word piece about her heritage, culture and ancestry.

The piece was originally developed and performed for the Nocturnal x Midsumma nights, which served up a summery showcase of queer and pan-African culture at the Melbourne Museum in February 2019.

The spoken word poetry and storytelling segment was curated by powerhouse creative, Candy Bowers — with seven folks on the bill, creatives responded to the museum's Mandela My Life exhibition as a provocation.
